On March 1, 2025, several domestic automobile manufacturers and brands announced their delivery and sales data for new energy vehicles (NEVs) in February 2025. This article only covers the confirmed delivery volumes and sales figures up to this date for domestic carmakers and brands. We will update information regarding joint venture brands and those that have not released data in subsequent articles; we welcome comments and contributions for further insights.
BYD (348,560 units sold, 3.72% increase)
In February, BYD sold 322,846 new energy vehicles, representing a remarkable year-on-year increase of 164%. Of these, 318,233 were passenger cars, also reflecting an impressive growth of 161.4%. The company achieved overseas sales of 67,025 passenger cars.
Specific model sales include:
BYD Han and Dolphin series: 304,673 units, a year-on-year increase of 167.1%.
BYD Fangcheng Leopard: 4,942 units sold, an increase of 113.9%.
BYD Tengshi: 8,513 units, a year-on-year increase of 85.1%.
BYD Yangwang: 105 units.
Geely, Zeekr, and Lynk & Co
Geely Auto Group reported a total of 204,910 vehicles sold in February, showing an increase of approximately 84%. Notably, their new energy vehicle sales reached 98,433 units with a remarkable increase of 194%, now accounting for over 48% of total sales.
The newly established Zeekr Technology Group announced sales of 31,277 vehicles in February. Of these, the Zeekr brand sold 14,039 units, reflecting a significant year-on-year growth of 86.9%, while Lynk & Co achieved 17,238 units sold, a 30.5% increase, with new energy vehicles comprising 47.9% of their sales.
Xpeng Motors
In February, Xpeng delivered a total of 30,453 vehicles, marking an extraordinary year-on-year growth of 570%. This positioned Xpeng as the leading new force in auto manufacturing with consistent monthly deliveries exceeding 30,000 units for four consecutive months. Over the first two months of the year, Xpeng Motors cumulatively delivered more than 60,000 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of over 375%.
Li Auto
Li Auto achieved sales of 26,263 vehicles in February, reflecting a year-on-year growth of 30%, although a slight month-on-month decline of 12.2%. Cumulatively, Li Auto's sales for January and February reached 56,190 units, demonstrating a year-on-year growth of 9.3%.
Leap Motor
Leap Motor reported impressive results, delivering 25,287 vehicles in February, representing a year-on-year increase of 285%. For January and February combined, Leap Motor sold 50,457 vehicles, a significant growth of 168%.
Hongmeng Intelligent Mobility
In February, Hongmeng Intelligent Mobility delivered a total of 21,517 vehicles, marking a 38.5% month-on-month decrease but a year-on-year increase of 1.8%. For the first two months of this year, sales reached 56,504 units, with a cumulative year-on-year increase of 4.4%.
Aion
GAC Aion's sales in February amounted to 20,863 vehicles, showing a year-on-year increase of 25% and a month-on-month increase of 44.9%. For January and February, cumulative sales reached 35,256 vehicles, though with a year-on-year decline of 15.3%.
Xiaomi Auto
In February, Xiaomi delivered over 20,000 vehicles, and the total delivery of the Xiaomi SU7 exceeded 180,000 units.
Deep Blue
Deep Blue's new energy vehicle sales reached 18,738 units in February, although this represented a month-on-month decrease of 23.8%, their year-on-year growth stood at 87.5%. Cumulatively, for the first two months, their total sales reached 43,313 vehicles, with a year-on-year growth of 60.2%.
Great Wall Motors
In February, Great Wall Motors sold a total of 77,883 vehicles, marking a year-on-year increase of 9.65%. Among these, new energy vehicle sales totaled 15,121 units, with a year-on-year increase of 23.24%.
